PolicyCloud: STATE OF THE ART AND REQUIREMENT ANALYSIS

The development of the Policy Cloud aims to support policy makers, public authorities and other stakeholders in preparing effective policy models, by evaluating and analysing different dataset gathered from multiple reliable sources.

In order to guarantee that the Policy Cloud complexity is properly handled and analysed, the State of the Art analysis and the Requirement Analysis will be performed throughout the entire duration of the project, from 2020 to 2023.

Policy Cloud presents ‘Solutions to data-driven policy’ paper at prestigious AIAI event

The conference provided an opportunity for Policy Cloud, an EU project led by ATOS and a number of EU Partners and funded under the European Commission’s H2020 programme, to present its innovative approach and solutions to policy making.

EU Digital and Data Strategies Spur Data-driven Policy Pilot

Its municipality of Sofia pilot use case is currently building on the European Digital and Data strategies by using big data and analytical tools to improve the quality of planning decisions around urban transport and road infrastructure,  waste collection and disposal,  ecology, and green systems.

Policies against radicalisation webinar insights

The problem of radicalisation is very high on the European agenda as increasing numbers of young European radicals return from Syria and use the internet to disseminate propaganda. To enable policy makers to design policies to address radicalisation effectively, Policy Cloud consortium will collect data from social media and other sources including the open-source Global Terrorism Database (GTD), the Onion City search engine which accesses data over the TOR dark web sites, and Twitter ( through Firehose). The data will be analysed using  sentiment analysis and opinion mining software.
