New EC Proposal for Data Sharing and Data Spaces

Last Wednesday the European Commission proposed new rules on data governance. Their aim is to exploit the high amounts of data created every day, but within a trustworthy European framework. These new rules will allow European data to be harnessed and allow specific European data spaces to benefit society, citizens and companies. The Commission has proposed nine data spaces in February 2020’s data strategy, ranging from industry to energy, and from health to the European Green Deal.

First Workshop on Participatory policies against Radicalisation

On Friday, 20 November the Policy Cloud consortium partner Gruppo Maggioli, in collaboration with the Lombardy Region, organised the first workshop on the participatory policies against radicalization pilot. The main objective was to present to policy makers operating in the security domain how the Policy Cloud project can support them in the identification, monitoring, analysis and prevention of domestic radicalization, while at the same time allowing them to interact with other stakeholders (e.g. data scientists, sociologist, legal experts) in the design, modelling, and validation of policies to counter violent radicalization.

Policy Cloud Conceptual Model and Reference Architecture

Policy Cloud has published deliverable 2.2, the conceptual model and reference architecture of the project. The document defines the overall architecture and its components and provides a framework for the end-to-end data path analysis to be documented in upcoming deliverables. This analysis will be based on data emerging from the four pilot use cases at the centre of the Policy Cloud project.

Using Market Analysis and Business Potentials to Solve Real User Problems

Following the proven Atos’ “Innovation Hub Methodology” which divides the project into two different phases, analysis and strategy, the report sets out the market context where the project’s results will be exploited and gives an initial insight into these results.

PolicyCloud: STATE OF THE ART AND REQUIREMENT ANALYSIS

The development of the Policy Cloud aims to support policy makers, public authorities and other stakeholders in preparing effective policy models, by evaluating and analysing different dataset gathered from multiple reliable sources.

In order to guarantee that the Policy Cloud complexity is properly handled and analysed, the State of the Art analysis and the Requirement Analysis will be performed throughout the entire duration of the project, from 2020 to 2023.
