Leonardo Da Vinci was known to go around with his notebooks and write and draw out things as they came to him. For Isaac Newton, it was when an apple fell that things came together.
Inspiration seems like something that occurs spontaneously and therefore cannot be planned. But at Smart City Expo World Congress, we believe that inspiration is an expression of ideas that make possible the best in us and in our environment.
As such, inspiration is embodied by creative people and meaningful connections. People are the ones who can provide cities with a new reference point of what is possible. People are city changers. Cities are transformed through people.
Last year, the Smart City Expo World Congress celebrated its 10th anniversary with a comeback edition that exceeded all expectations. This year all figures are projected to increase over the forecast horizon, similar to pre-pandemic volume.
With alarming environmental footprints and a lingering health crisis, it’s now more necessary than ever to reflect on how cities can do their part to make the world a better place, to see what measures work well, which don’t, and how to get new ideas to brace for challenging times.
Policy Cloud will have a joint exhibition booth with Major Cities of Europe, USER-CHI (Florence), City of Prato, City of Larissa and Smart Dublin.
